Dr. Alexandra O. Bujor established
Modern Women’s Healthcare to give women
of all ages a fresher and more up to date way
of interacting with their gynecologist.
She offers award-winning combination of skill, instincts, and compassion, that have made her one of the most sought after Physicians to come out of the Stanford Residency Program.
Dr. Bujor was born in Bucurest, Romania and immigrated to this country with her family in 1985. She attended the University of California, Riverside for a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating summa cum laude. She went to the UCLA School of Medicine for her medical degree and spent her residency at Stanford University Hospital where she earned awards for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures and Excellence in Surgical Performance.
Dr. Bujor has been practicing in the South Bay for 4 years and is affiliated with Little Company of Mary, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, and Pacific Coast Surgery Center. In her practice, Dr. Bujor sees a wide variety of obstetrics and gynecological cases and specialized in minimally invasive procedures, pelvic floor disorders and vaginal reconstruction. Whether it is continuing medical education, training for a new technique, or holding educational lectures for the community, Dr. Bujor practices medicine with the singular mission of providing the best possible care that is both contemporary and complete. Her skills, dedication, and drive to be the best has earned her the respect and admiration of her peers and superior alike.
As a parent of a beautiful boy, Dr. Bujor understands the concerns patients have as they progress through their pregnancy. Thus, she takes that extra time to answer question and settle some of the many issues that pregnancy can bring. One of her most important practice goals is to treat every patient like she would want her family treated.
Dr. Bujor is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of American Medical Association and speaks for Warner Chilcott.
In her spare time, Dr. Bujor enjoys sports, dancing, movies, and playing with her son, Lucian, and two English Bulldogs, Dooby and Maxie.
Our physician assistant, Jenna Long, joined Modern Women’s Healthcare in July of 2011. A native of Pennsylvania, she received her undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and a minor in Women’s Studies. Jenna was proud to participate in the school’s RJ Fellows Honors Scholars Program, to graduate magna cum laude, and also to be chosen for the distinguished honor of induction in to Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. As an undergraduate, she worked closely with medical residents and their supervisors at Lehigh Valley Hospital in order to develop a new training program for sexual history taking focusing on empathetic communication and counseling skills. Jenna continued her graduate education at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and receiving her clinical training at Lehigh Valley Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Sacred Heart Hospital. She again graduated magna cum laude and subsequently scored in the 99th percentile on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
One of the philosophies around which Jenna has come to base her practice is to “be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.” In addition to her empathetic nature, Jenna is personable individual who is dedicated to providing the high quality health care that patients deserve. With her background as a teaching assistant and tutor in college and growing up in a family of educators, Jenna sees practicing medicine as her call to teaching. She provides women with the answers and explanations for all of their questions and concerns, no matter how trivial or embarrassing they may seem.
Jenna is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed to practice in the state of California by the Physician Assistant Committee. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA), and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APAOG). Lastly, she is trained in both BLS and ACLS.
A responsible and dedicated individual, Jenna is an excellent addition to the team at Modern Women’s Healthcare. Outside of the office, she is an avid reader and has a passion for black and white photography. Jenna also enjoys discovering new places to visit in an around LA and staying fit through Zumba and kickboxing.
